Jump with J

This week we learned about the letter J!  We did lots of jumping and jogging.  We read a book called Jaguar's Jungleberry Jamboree.  We talked about other words that started with J.  Like juice, jam, jungle, and jaguar.  The students had lots of fun learning about the letter J.
We also colored penguins this week.  The weather is getting colder outside so we've been talking about how important it is to wear the right clothes for the weather.  Make sure your child is dressed appropriately.  We don't want to miss anyone because they're sick.
We have been going on shape hunts in the classroom to try and remember our shapes.  We're still having some trouble remembering the triangle and rectangle.  You can help your child remember by going on shape hunts at your house too!  Just walk around the rooms in your home and find shapes, it's that easy!  We love going on shape hunts while going through the school.  Its a fun way to learn!
Make sure you're checking your child's take home binder every day.  We have our newsletters, homework packets, and any special notes in there.  Tomorrow you will have your child's test from Friday. If they weren't here on Friday I will give them their test today and it will go home on Tuesday.  The students are doing a fantastic job! Let's have another great week!
