Many Thanks...

Thank you parents for your patience with the blog.  We have been so busy in our classroom lately! We have been doing a great deal of hands-on activities.  The LowerK classroom has gained another teacher, Sr. Sanaria.  She is a wonderful addition to the classroom!  She is a great helper to Sr. Sema, Sr. Imtithal, and myself.

Last week we learned about the letter H.  Here is a quick recap of what we did last week!  We colored hearts and added red glitter to make them nice and shiny.  We colored the big letter H for our alphabet book.  We drew our house to talk about something that begins with letter H.  We read Hide and Seek Hippo.  We also learned a silly song about a horse and helicopter that went to Honolulu!

In Math we've been learning how to count to 10, identify numbers 1-10, and writing our numbers.  We've also been learning about our colors and shapes.  We take turns writing our numbers and making shapes on our white board.  The class loves getting to take turns writing on the white board.  W have also been painting!  It's one of our favorite things to do!  We have been working on sorting as well.  We've started by learning how to sort by color and size with colored puff balls.  Next week we will start sorting shapes.  We've been playing fun math games to help us learn our content.

I have finalized the schedule for the year.  We will start at 8:30 with our calendar and morning meeting.  So come on time so you don't miss out on the fun!

Parents remember we have no school on Thursday and Friday!

Also please sign and return the test that I sent home today.  I test your child every Friday on the content we cover through the week.  If your child does not attend school on Friday I will be testing them on another day.  If you have any questions about the test feel free to send me a note or email.
This week we will be covering the letter I.  I did send home a homework packet.  I will test on Wednesday their knowledge of the content.  Have a great week!
Mrs. Krystina
